Do you understand how to care for your energy? While we prioritize our physical and emotional well-being, the concept of nurturing our energetic self often goes unnoticed. Let's delve into the intricacies of our energetic system and explore simple techniques to maintain its health.
Understanding Our Energetic Self:
Many of us aren't even aware of our energetic existence. As someone who practices energy healing, my sensitivity to energy became apparent during my 20's whilst working as an international flight attendant. I mixed with so many different types of people, backgrounds, race, sexuality, personality types, relaxed or stressed people, the list goes on. I quickly realised how easily I could read the people around me, and if I chose to help, often would succeed in brightening someone's day. I once had a customer stop me mid-flight, explaining how he and his wife had watched how I worked, and said it was extrodinary how I met the needs of everyone around me. From this encounter, I started to research energy, which led me to Reiki back in 2010. Our energy system, comprising chakras and a layered aura, influences our perceptions, emotions, and interactions without conscious recognition.
Daily Energetic Engagement:
Throughout the day, we engage with our complex energy structure, detecting emotions and atmospheres effortlessly. Despite its omnipresence, most remain oblivious to its workings. We haven't been 'conditioned' to think about it, so quite simply, we don't.
Protecting Your Energy:
To safeguard against energy drains, it's vital to establish protective measures. Just as I use simple techniques to shield myself, you too can learn to preserve your energy. The first step is to start paying attention. Think about what energy you are giving off, and observe how people around you act.
The Energy Armour Technique:
Imagine donning a suit of armour each morning to shield yourself from external energies. This visualization exercise, even suitable for children, creates a protective barrier, ensuring your happiness remains intact amidst external influences. This works because of intention. You are communicating with your energy field, instructing it to work how you need it to, to protect yourself.
While the imagery of armour may not resonate with everyone, the key is setting intentions to shield yourself from negativity. Whether it's a bubble, pyramid, or jelly baby, what matters is the intention behind the protection.
Transmuting Negativity:
Rather than reflecting negativity back, adopt a mindset of transforming it into love. This approach aligns with Einstein's insight that energy can only change form, emphasising the importance of cultivating positivity. As they say, 'A smile breeds a smile'.
Practical Benefits:
Implementing these techniques empowers you to navigate crowded, stressful environments without succumbing to negative energies, preserving your vitality and inner peace.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, investing in your energetic health is not the same as learning about your emotional health. You need to start engaging in energy work to help yourself develop and stretch your muscles in this area.
